What went on during URBACT INFODAYS?
A series of URBACT INFODAYS held in 14 countries attracted a total of more than 800 participants from cities all over Europe during December and January. 5 more URBACT INFODAYS are set to take place, with the last of the series in Finland on 1 February. The events have been rich with discussions, ideas and debates. For those who could not make it, here is a selection of what we heard and saw in Brussels, Lisbon, Warsaw, Roma, Brno, Riga, Stockholm etc.

URBACT INFODAY at the European Commission in Brussels
The European Commission and the URBACT Secretariat are organising an URBACT INFODAY dedicated to representatives of European cities and towns, and representatives of national and regional Managing Authorities of Operational programmes. The event will take place on 18th January 2012 from 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. in the European Commission Borschette building in Brussels and will be followed by a networking lunch.

URBACT INFODAY in Your Country and at the European Commission!
From mid December to the end of January, URBACT INFODAYS will be organised in a maximum of European Union Member or Partner States. The objectives of these meetings are to draw lessons from the implementation of the URBACT programme so far, to draw lessons from the national participation in URBACT and to present the terms of reference of the URBACT 3rd call for proposals (to be launched in December).

RegGov Final Conference – Watch the video!
The URBACT RegGov project has just completed its programme of exchange and learning activities. The 9 project partners have been working relentlessly for three years looking for joint, effective and sustainable solutions for deprived urban neighbourhoods. The Final Conference of the project took place in the City of Duisburg (Germany) in the Landscape Park Duisburg-North on 12 and 13 May 2011. Watch the video!

URBACT Local Support Groups Summer University: Participants first!
Specifically designed for people participating in the URBACT Local Support Groups (ULSG), the first URBACT Summer University which took place in the Jagiellonian University of Krakow, Poland from Monday 29 August to Wednesday 31 August 2011, was a unique learning opportunity for urban practitioners from all over Europe. With a good 'mix of fun and hard work' the University allowed participants to learn new theories, methods and tools for coproducing integrated local urban policy with key stakeholders.
