Our Activities
A working group to facilitate the implementation of integrated sustainable urban development according to the Leipzig Charter.
STATE OF PROGRESS
We are in the course of our implementation phase and have intensively worked on our first two work packeges "Diagnosis and Evaluation" and "Finance and Cooperation". For the second work package we carried out a survey among 45 European cities on their experiences with the implementation of integrated urban developement and their cooperation with regional, national and European bodies in this respect. (See project brochure in the download section).
At the same time we are actively invoved in the development process of the "reference framework for sustainable cities": participation in the Member States and Institutions group, carried out direct Exchange-meetings between LC-FACIL cities the lead of the MS/I group and their technical support team and gave our support and recommendation on the current status of the reference-framework tool in preparation.

The conference is being organised on the occasion of the completion of the URBACT II Project "LC-FACIL" by the lead partner Leipzig. The city of Leipzig is delighted to invite all interests to the conference that will mark the end of our common Urbact project "LC-Facil".

The current prototype of the Reference framework web-tool was discussed at the Informal Meeting of European Ministers for Housing and Urban Development under Spanisch EU-Presidency in Toledo.

On 10th and 11th of May experts and specialists from across Europe met in the City of Leipzig to discuss the implementation of an integrated urban development in terms of the Leipzig Charter.
11 February 2011 Project Meeting in Graz
This time the meeting of all six partner cities, together with the Lead Expert on 10th and 11th of February took place in Graz.

In connection with their 4th project meeting, LC-FACIL partners met with up to 150 international practitioners to discuss their experience with the implementation of integrated, sustainable urban development.

08 September 2009 Phase I: Steering group meeting in Rennes
On September 7th and 8th all project partners met in Rennes to finalise their partnership before the Final application of the project.
