More than 150 participants attended the Final Conference of the RegGov network in Duisburg on 12 May 2011. High-ranking representatives from the European Commission, the URBACT Secretariat, the associated Managing Authorities and City Representatives discussed questions of cooperation and governance for deprived neighbourhoods in the context of integrated sustainable neighbourhood development and commented Ten Recommendations related to "Challenges and Conditions for Good Multi-Level Governance".
After three years of intense work the RegGov network has drawn common conclusions in the Final Report. Ten Recommendations related to "Challenges and Conditions for Good Multi-Level Governance" are published together with practical case studies from the Partner Cities.
A Manual for Practical Use in Cities and Regions with summaries of the four Thematic Clusters on Regional Cooperation, Private Involvement, Roma Integration and Monitoring Systems and Evaluation was elaborated by the RegGov Lead Expert and is published in the Outputs section of the project website.
In April 2011, the handbook “Sustainment of integrative neighbourhood development in disadvantaged urban areas in North Rhine-Westphalia” is published by the Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy, Building, Housing and Transport of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW).
A Synthesis of the 3 Thematic Seminars and the Joint Seminar for MA & EC in one Thematic Manual with four abstracts was elaborated by the RegGov Lead Expert and is published in the Outputs section of the project website.
