Sha.Ke is a network of EU Cities, Regions, Universities, working together on the topic of renovation and revitalisation of public spaces in deprived urban areas.

The Sha.Ke working group aims at involving several actors (Cities, Regions, Universities, local stakeholders) in fostering experiences of renovation and revitalisation of public spaces in deprived urban areas. This will be based on shared interpretations of experiences developed within attempts to mainstream what learnt during the implementation of EU programmes.

The Iuav University of Venice  is the only university in Italy dedicated to a specific area of knowledge: human settlements and environment. Iuav teaching and research activities are based on an integrated idea of human settlements, including environmental and ecological issues, housing, urban regeneration and mobility problems. They are carried out in three faculties: Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning, Arts and Design.
