SURE Case Study on participative planning

Engaging ULSG members in a structured scenario building process based on the Future City Game methodology

This case study explores the benefits associated with engaging URBACT Local Support Group members in a structured scenario building process based on the Future City Game methodology. The Future City game was played by ULSG members in parallel to a transnational meeting of the SURE network in Gheorgheni, Romania, on 15 October 2010. This approach enabled the participation of ULSG from partner cities as well as officials from city partners in the discussion of the strategic proposals local residents had developed and also reduced the costs of undertaking such capacity building activities within the SURE programme of exchange visits.

SURE Baseline Study

Socio-economic approaches to Urban REhabilitation

The Baseline study, written by the Lead Expert in Phase I, analyzes the state-of-the-art knowledge on socio-economic approaches in urban regeneration in Europe, drafts the city' profiles and defines in detail the main thematic framework of the SURE network.
