Our Activities
STATE OF PROGRESS
The UNIC project is hitting a milestone in its lifecourse.
As members of a fast track network, partners cities were requested to finalized their LAP in May 2010, and presented them in the European Commission in brussels. They have now entered the stage of implementation of their LAPs.
At European level, the coming months will be devoted to the reflection on the sustanability of the network, until the final conference which will take place in Delft (Netherlands) at the very beginning of June 2011.
17 November 2011 Launching of the UNIC Association
On 17th November 2011, the project partners launched the association of ceramic cities called "UNIC".

30 May 2011 UNIC Final Conference
The UNIC final conference took place in Delft (Netherlands) from 30th May to 1rd June 2011.

The International Ceramic Fair ran from October 18 to 22 in Jingdezhen, the Chinese “Porcelain Capital”.

On 20th and 21st September, UNIC partners met in Pécs, within the framework of "Pécs: European Capital of Culture 2010".

From 15th to 18th of June, a UNIC event took place in Limoges, within the framework of an International Ceramics Week, gathering all UNIC cities as well as Asian partners from the city of Limoges.

On 20th of May, all UNIC partners were invited at the European Commission in Brussels, for an official ceremony aimed at launching their Local Action Plans.

The last UNIC meeting took place in Castellon, from 16th to 18th February 2010. It was linked with Qualicer 2010, the global forum on ceramic tile (15-16 February).

18 November 2009 UNIC Reception at the European Parliament, Brussels
On Wednesday 18 November 2009, UNIC partners attended the European Parliament Ceramics Forum in Brussels. This was an opportunity to introduce UNIC network and to meet the key people involved in ceramics industry
29 October 2009 UNIC Conference in Stoke-on-Trent (conference)
The last UNIC meeting took place in Stoke-on-Trent (England), at the end of october 2009. It was linked with the organisation of the Bristish Ceramic Biennal.

15 October 2009 UNIC network at the Ceramic Fair of Jingdezhen
Limoges and Delft, both partners of the Chinese city, took the opportunity of their respective presence at the ceramic fair of Jingdezhen to set up a booth presenting the UNIC network and the partners cities.
