The urban contribution to combating climate change

URBENENERGY project’s Management Structure was set up during the first 6 months (development phase) of the project and was agreed upon by the partnership. Based on the URBACT Programme and the project’s official documentation, the Management Structure outlines the major responsibilities and the internal procedures related to project coordination with the aim of ensuring transparent project management system and a clear division of tasks between partners. The document provides an opportunity for both the Lead Partner and the Programme bodies to monitor and evaluate project activities and results periodically.

The Baseline study is drafted and finalized by URBENENERGY Lead Expert by the end of the development phase of the project and represents a major tangible achievement of the preparatory work that has taken place among partners for the past 6 months. The study analyzes the state-of-the-art knowledge on socio-economic approaches as regards the use of renewable energy resources and preparedness in terms of energy efficiency in urban areas in Europe. It also drafts the partner city' profiles and defines in detail the main thematic framework of the SURE network.
