The Final report of the BHC Project is now available. This is the last step of the BHC Project. The long and challenging path of the BHC partner cities as well as all the important outcomes that have been produced are now collected in a coherent and detailed document.

The Final Conference of the BHC Project has been held In Brussels on June 7. Representatives from DG REGIO and DG SANCO as well as Mr Jean-Loup Drubigny, Head of the Urbact Secretariat, and delegates from the partner cities, met together to celebrate the success of the project and to talk about the future actions to undertake.

The issue number 9 of the BHC Newsletter is now available with the feedbacks from the Lecce exchange, the profile of the Lidingö ULSG, the BHC open days held in Turin and much more.

The Bhc III Thematic Report is now available for downloading. The report underlines the importance of the interaction and cooperation between Cities and Managing Authorities.

On February 2011 the city of Lecce has organised an info-day on the BHC Project. Following the event, a video has been produced.

Our newsletter contains the latest information on BHC activities such as our workshops, partners' Local Support Groups, city profiles etc. It also includes information about similar networks and initiatives as well as EU news on health issues. Download newsletter>>

This report represents the first concrete outcome of our network following the transnational workshop that took place from 8-9 June 2009 in Lodz, Poland.  The network’s thematic expert has outlined the process of definition of indicators related to health and quality of life in cities and has synthesized the main findings of the Łódź workshop. Besides, a glossary has been attached as annex, to further clarify the contents of the toolkit that represents the main output of the meeting

16 February 2009: The project's Lead Partner took part in the Regions for Economic Change workshop "Migrants and the City: Towards successful integration. Brussels.  

On 9 October 2008, the Lead Partner and Lead Expert attended the 3rd Annual Conference of HealthClusterNet in Bilbao (www.healthclusternet.org). The Lead Expert presented the BHC Thematic Network. On this occasion the Lead Partner was invited to present a contribution on the topic "Why health investment in regions matter?"

The Final Conference of the Building Healthy Communities Project will be held in Brussels on 7 June 2011.

The Lecce Exchange has gathered professionals in the field of the urban regeneration, scientists, representatives of the Lecce city Council and the parteners of the BHC projct.

The Partners of the BHC project will meet again during the Multilateral Exchange organised in Lecce (Italy) on the 14 and 15 March 2011. The Echange will be focused on "Urban Regeneration Urban Planning and Environmental Sustainability". The event will be followed by the 4th BHC Steering Group Meeting.

The Madrid Exchange was another occasion to get together the BHC Project Partners and to work on the development of the Local Action Plan. The material showed at the event is now available

SIGMA Integrated Information System for Public Administration

From the 16 to the 18 December 2010 the representatives of some of the cities involved in the BHC project, will take part to a Bilateral Exchange organised by the city of Madrid. the Exchange will focus on Urban Regeneration and use of Indicators.

The event will be another occasion for the partners to meet and work together to finalisation of the Local Action Plans.

The Second Thematic Workshop of the BHC Project, took place in Turin (Italy)from 3 to 6 March 2010 and it focused on indicators and criteria for a healthy sustainable lifestyle.

BHC partners will meet at the second transnational workshop which will take place on 3-6 March 2010  in Torino, Italy. The theme of the workshop will be on "healthy sustainable lifestyles". More information will be made available.
