CityMobilNet Transantional Seminar Zadar – measure packages for a SUMP
Right at the start of April, CityMobilNet plans to go one step ahead: with a good idea on the future vision of urban mobility in our cities and the clear picture on our priorities, it is time to think on how to come to the picture of our vision. In its third seminar in Zadar, Croatia, CityMobilNet will closely look on how to select the right measure packages paving the way to changing urban mobility towards our ideas how it will look like.
The third seminar of CityMobilNet in Zadar, Croatia, is the one expected to deliver most of fun: to think on the measures to implement for changing the city development into the desired direction. Though planning for measure to achieve set out targets and to meet priorities is a fun action – not the least due to the pleasant anticipation for actually implementation – this step is a rather challenging one. Budgets like manpower, financial resources and time are limited for everybody. Visions, priorities and targets may be chosen carefully already expecting these resource limits, but nevertheless planning in details considering these budget lines might point out the real limits.
CityMobilNet will work on how to form the right measure packages that work interlinked to achieve targets and contribute to the overall vision. Partners will learn from each other on their own experience with measure implementation as well as from forerunner cities in Europe and beyond having practised and collected lessons on the set up, implementation and evaluation of measure packages connected to specific targets. Our cities will exercise their own first choice of measure packages as well as how to deal with all of them in terms of available budgets – such as time, finance and professional capacity.
The seminar in Zadar is linked by timing and locational choice to the 4th European Conference on Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans taking place in Dubrovnik, Croatia, just the week before the seminar. Partners are having the chance to take part in the conference and learn on the state of play for Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan EU-wide.
