B.1. Understanding of integrated and sustainable urban development:
Through my unique mix of international-orientated Environmental and Renewable Energy work experience and education, I have gained a special understanding of sustainable urban planning and development from different perspectives, such as resource efficiency, waste management, water, noise, air pollution, climate change adaptation and mitigation, urban transport and smart cities. I have a well-integrated understanding of urban environment and sustainability issues due to 13+ years of work experience as a project and programme manager for several transnational, regional and local level sustainable regional and urban development projects. I have also supported several European programmes and projects related to research, innovation within the circular and low-carbon economy as an external evaluator and reviewer.
B1. Assessment:
1: The applicant has 10+ years of practical experience as consultant and project manager in the field of environment issues in urban areas. She has a MSc in Renewable Energy and BSc in Environmental engineering. However, she is less experienced in the wider area of sustainable urban development and related challenges.
B.2. Understanding of exchange and learning processes at transnational level:
I have been able to participate in transnational exchange projects and in the development and management of strategies on sustainable energy and low-carbon economy on the transnational, regional and urban level. In particular, through the Action Plans created through the 4Biomass and GEO.POWER projects, it was an important learning experience for me among the different transnational partners and stakeholders. Further on, I coordinated the HU03 Renewable Energy Programme of the European Economic Area Grants as a main operational person. Through this task, I have gained experience in strengthening bilateral relations between Hungary and the Donor States, mainly with Iceland and Norway. My transnational level responsibilities have included several tasks from initial project and programme planning to manage stakeholder relations. I have also evaluated more than 100 projects under the FP7, HORIZON 2020 calls related to Low Carbon Energy projects submitted by public and private entities. Some of the evaluated projects are within the framework of sustainable regional and urban development; therefore I’ve gained very good experience at understanding and analyzing of challenges of the transnational exchange and its support.
B2. Assessment:
1: She demonstrated understanding of transnational exchange and learning between different stakeholders as Project manager of 4Biomass and GEO.POWER projects and Programme Manager of HU03 Renewable Energy Programme Area of the EEA Grants. However her professional experience is mainly country-based (Hungary).
B.3. Proficiency in English:
I am fluent in English; I have the capacity to communicate fluently in English both written and oral at an advanced C2 level. Through my first degree in BSc Environmental engineer, I was an exchange student and participated in the European Project Semester at the Engineering College of Copenhagen, where I have significantly enhanced my English skills (attending classes, writing term papers, doing group projects and holding presentations in English). I have graduated my Master of Sciences (MSc) in English at the Technical University of Vienna within an international environment. I have been working at an international level since 2010, where the working language is mainly English. I also published studies, publications and held presentations and moderated workshops and meetings in English. Additionally, as an external expert I evaluate project proposals [FP7, Horizon2020] and monitoring of innovation projects [Horizon 2020] related to Secure, Clean & Efficient Energy Work Programme in English. I am also experienced in giving presentations and organisation of conferences, workshops at national and international level especially in a multicultural environment. I have the ability to establish, maintain good relations with people from different multicultural environments in work and life.
