Nevers Agglomération is a conurbation of 13 towns, located in the in the middle of France, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region and at the crossroads with 2 other regions, offering a lot of assets.
It is only 2 hours away from Paris, Clermont-Ferrand and Dijon, and 3 hours away from Lyon.
Nevers is the 5th university city in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region, with a large offer for higher education: ISAT (Transport and car engineering school), CS2i (Computering School) Nursing school, Law school, ESAAB (Art school), Business School, a “Connected campus”, for distance higher Education, and Medicine higher education starting from September 2020.
The 13 towns gather nearly 70 000 inhabitants and offer all the warmth and friendliness of a human sized territory. The Loire river and its canals flow through this green territory, where the social, associative and cultural life is as rich as diversified.
The economic fabric is also dynamic, with around 33,000 employees in approximately 3,000 companies. The main sectors of activity are services, transport and automotive industry (linked to the nearby Nevers-Magny-Cours Racetrack), construction, boilerwork and metal industry.
For a few years now, businesses have also been created and growing in the digital sector, thanks among other things to the INKUB building, a digital hub created in an old military building that was completely refurbished to welcome start-ups and R&D companies, but also a coding school and higher education courses.
