URBACT Infoday in Romania

Edited on

22 July 2015

The Romanian Infoday took place in Bucharest on 29-30 October 2014. Participants were able to learn about URBACT, Network experiences and about URBACT III.

The infoday included a variety of guests from all over Romania such as city representatives, managing authorities and others interested in sustainable urban development policies.  Participants had the opportunity to learn about URBACT, the programme, URBACT II results, and meet and interact with other participants.

On 29 October, the infoday was reserved for partners of ongoing networks. Partners were able to exchange and share their experiences and discuss their Local Action Plans as well as ways of improvement.

On 30 October, the Infoday started with an introduction by the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration. It was then followed by a presentation of URBACT in a Nutshell and representatives from URBACT Networks in Romania discussed their exchanges and experiences. A presentation was done by Thematic Pole Manager Peter Ramsden on "Integrated urban development – Lessons from URBACT II." The Ministry then gave a presentation on the National Framework for Sustainable urban development 2014 - 2020 and then URBACT III was introduced, which gave an overview on how cities can participate in the call.
