  • International Vilnius Cinema Festival “Kino pavasaris”

    The 25th Vilnius International Film Festival Kino Pavasaris took place online in March 19–April 2, 2020. It is one of the first virtual film festivals in the world. Originally, International Vilnius Film Festival takes place annually in spring while screening best non-commercial movies from all over the world in Lithuanian cinema theatres. In 2020 with all mass gatherings banned by the government to prevent the spread of coronavirus, after spending the entire year preparing its anniversary edition, organizers of the 25th Vilnius International Film Festival had to adapt and accomplish what seemed like an impossible task – to go fully digital.

  • Celebrating local culture in London

    The Mayor launched London Borough of Culture in June 2017. This new award is inspired by the UK City and European Capital of Culture programmes. The aim is to shine a light on London’s diversity, and put culture at the heart of local communities. By bringing culture to where people live, all Londoners can join in.

  • The challenge is to find the golden path between everything

    As we tend to know language is one of the most important parts of any culture. It is the way by which people communicate with one another, build relationships and create a sense of community. As languages began to develop, different cultural communities put together collective understandings through sounds. Today, we’ve moved more than 10k steps (/daily as recommended) forward and situate on a much more complicated period, as there are many more languages than at first.What we see as the possibilities for integration and adaption in the city of Tallinn aka the struggle is real.

  • Bistrita's Summer 'Sustainable Urban Mobility Campaign'

    The Small-Scale Action carried out by the Municipality of Bistrita refers to a “Sustainable Urban Mobility Campaign”, trying to encourage citizens to use sustainable alternative means of transport, to foster cycling culture and to promote these means.

    Also, Bistrita municipality is concerned with protecting the environment, reducing CO2, thus carries out in the framework of the SSA a series of education, information and awareness actions.
