BIP/ZIP – Promoting partnerships in sensitive urban areas | Interview

Com.Unity.Lab Transfer Network aims to replicate the Lisbon Local Development Strategy for areas of Priority Intervention. This strategy provides a range of integrated tools - a map, a grant, a tasking force and a Community-Led Local Development Network - to be used and adapted in order to empower local communities and enhance the citizens' quality of life. At the moment Aalborg, Bari, Lille, Lublin, Ostrava, Sofia and The Hague are learning from Lisbon, trying to understand which tool(s) can be introduced and experimented in their contexts, but also the Portuguese capital is learning with the Project Partners to improve its strategy. Julianna Libárdi has got into the world of Budapest100(BP100) Weekend of Open Houses as a volunteer. It has enchanted her so much, that she has been working on the programme as a project leader already for 4 years. The URBinclusion final conference: Networking for social inclusion in Europe

The “URBinclusion final conference: Networking for social inclusion in Europe” took place in Barcelona on the 28th of March. It involved civil servants, technical and political representatives from the Network nine cities in addition to URBACT network representatives and several local and international actors and stakeholders.

Nantes: turning high level strategy into concrete, measurable actions

The project team from Nantes (FR) wanted to turn a high level strategy into something concrete and measurable. Building collaboration and trust with stakeholders (including families) was key to their approach and success.

Ghent: implementing action plans

Ghent (BE), lead partner of Stay Tuned, created an overall plan to prevent early school leaving, and to create new perspectives for young people who leave school early anyway.
