Summary

Urban practitioner, facilitator, and educator working at the intersection of urban design, placemaking, and sustainable development. Arezoo is passionate about systemic approaches to city-making and creating collaborative learning environments where diverse stakeholders can collectively address complex urban challenges. Her work focuses on participatory urban processes, transnational knowledge exchange, and the relationship between spatial design, social well-being, and community development. Through her experience in EU-funded projects, academia, communication, and placemaking initiatives, she has contributed to international and European efforts related to urban transformation, community participation, and strategic communication, working across topics including housing, migration, sustainable urban development, food systems, and social inclusion, including within the URBACT program.

Arezoo has a background in architecture, teaches courses on urban design and sustainability at IES Abroad Milan, and is a co-founder and member of STIPO Italy Cooperative, focusing on collaborative and place-based approaches to neighborhood development.

Alongside her professional work, Arezoo is also developing independent research exploring the relationship between urban development, wellbeing, systems thinking, and collective transformation through her ongoing book project, Conscious Development, and her podcast, Design to Connect.
