Summary
I am a Dr Environmental Engineer having expertise on circular economy, waste management, industrial symbiosis and urban development.
I have more than 15 years experience having cooperated with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, ANATOLIKI Organisation for Local Development and the Centre for Research and Technology HELLAS (CERTH). Being a project manager and coordinator, I was involved in numerous proposal preparations and more than 25 national and EU-funded projects implementation.
My expertise in climate adaptation spans various activities, including active engagement in project delivery, research, and local strategy development. Having cooperated with several local authorities in Greece as a consultant, I have conducted waste management Action Plans and contributed extensively to projects focusing on climate-resilient urban planning, sustainable water management, and community-based adaptation measures. This involvement encompasses conducting vulnerability assessments, designing adaptation strategies, and implementing resilience-building initiatives.
Finally, I have been Involved in education as a Certified Training Instructor and as a lecturer assistant in higher education on the fields of urban development and waste management.
