Summary
I am a senior, practice-oriented urban researcher with 14 years of experience working with schools and municipalities on youth unemployment, poverty, and inequality. My PhD focused on youth unemployment, and I have led a national project on poverty and debt among young people and families. As programme manager of a knowledge centre on inequality, I bring together scholars, policy officers, and educational and youth professionals to co-create solutions that reduce inequalities in and around schools.
Within URBACT, I focus on jobs & skills, and equality, diversity, and inclusion issues, combining rigorous research with hands-on support to cities and communities. I have extensive experience in facilitating peer learning, designing inclusive strategies, and translating complex knowledge into actionable tools for local stakeholders. Colleagues describe me as involved, pragmatic, and conscientious. As an Ad-hoc Expert in the Pool of Experts, I aim to bring academic rigour, strategic thinking and strong communication skills to support cities across Europe in tackling urgent social challenges through sustainable and participatory urban development.
