Summary

I support cities and URBACT networks in moving from intention to implementation on sustainable, circular and gender-responsive public procurement.

I work with local administrations to reflect on where they are in their process and what is needed to move forward: clarifying responsibilities, identifying who still needs to be on board, assessing budgets and capacities, and turning ambitions into realistic next steps. This has included reviewing and strengthening Integrated Action Plans, asking the right questions at the right moment, and supporting cities in making their plans more concrete and workable.

Alongside this analytical work, I design and deliver focused trainings and learning sessions on sustainable and gender-responsive procurement, adapted to different administrative contexts and levels of experience. My approach combines structure and clarity with an engaging, collaborative atmosphere that helps participants connect across departments and feel motivated to act. And my workshops are fun!

I am an independent Australian–German consultant, trainer and facilitator specialising in sustainable public procurement, with more than ten years of experience working with cities, ministries and international programmes across Europe and beyond. I have lived in Sarajevo, which has strongly shaped my intercultural perspective and my engagement with cities in the Western Balkans. My background combines thematic expertise in procurement and sustainability with extensive experience in capacity building, international exchange and cross-departmental collaboration in public administrations.

What drives my work is a genuine fascination with how similar challenges appear across different contexts – and how much they can learn from each other through well-designed exchange. After working together, cities often say that complex topics felt clearer, the process was energising, and they left with a stronger sense of purpose, ownership and direction.
