Summary

With over 15 years of professional experience working at the intersection of social inclusion, migration, gender equality, participatory governance and community-based development, Idil Safiye Soyseckin Ceylan is a sociologist, gender equality expert and public health specialist with extensive experience bridging research, policy and practice. Holding a PhD in Sociology and an MSc in Public Health, she has developed a multidisciplinary profile combining academic expertise with practical experience in public policy, humanitarian action, monitoring and evaluation, community-based interventions and European cooperation.

Throughout her career, she has worked with international organisations, municipalities, public institutions, civil society organisations and local communities to address complex social challenges through participatory and evidence-informed approaches. Her experience includes supporting municipalities and public institutions on gender equality and social inclusion within UNDP programmes, contributing to multi-stakeholder responses to gender-based violence and refugee inclusion with UNFPA, and facilitating participatory policy-making and advocacy processes on women's employment and care policies through KEIG and KEİD.

As Monitoring and Evaluation Manager at I-APS, she contributed to the evaluation of humanitarian programmes implemented in Syria under OCHA funding mechanisms, strengthening her expertise in monitoring, evaluation, evidence generation and organisational learning.
