Summary
With more than 20 years of professional experience in local governance reform, social inclusion and sustainable community development, I combine a strong understanding of municipal systems with extensive hands-on experience in supporting local authorities in translating policy priorities into practical local action. My career includes over five years of service in national government and more than sixteen years in advisory and programme management roles within the national association of local authorities, with a focus on strengthening local development frameworks, institutional capacities and the accessibility and quality of public services.
Validated as an URBACT expert in September 2025, I have since worked as a Local Mentor within the URBACT Pioneers Accelerator, supporting three Serbian municipalities throughout their learning and experimentation process. This work has involved facilitating Action Labs, strengthening local stakeholder groups, supporting co-creation and participatory decision-making, and helping cities design, test and reflect on small-scale actions addressing circular economy and waste management, youth engagement and inclusive local development. The experience has further strengthened my ability to work with cities at different levels of institutional capacity and to adapt participatory methods to specific local contexts.
My background also includes substantial involvement in EU municipal exchange and cooperation programmes, including institutional twinning, peer learning, capacity building and the transfer and adaptation of practices between local governments in the EU and Serbia. I bring strong facilitation skills and an ability to connect strategic planning with implementation, stakeholder engagement and institutional sustainability.
I am motivated to contribute to URBACT networks by helping cities turn shared learning into realistic and implementable local actions, strengthen local ownership and build partnerships that can sustain results beyond the lifetime of individual projects.
