Summary
Regina Vetter is an expert in climate adaptation, urban resilience and heat risk management in cities. With over 15 years of academic and professional experience in the climate policy field, she has worked with numerous cities, national ministries, the European Union, research institutes and local NGOs. Her work focuses on supporting cities to adapt to the impacts of climate change.
For her role at C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, she facilitated the exchange between 30+ global cities in climate change topics, such as heat adaptation, through various peer-to-peer exchange formats, workshops, webinars, technical working groups or best practice case study publications. At the German Development Cooperation Agency GIZ she has advised Germany ministries as well as cooperation projects worldwide on climate risk management, resilient urban development and climate adaptation solutions. Regina also works with German municipalities and civil society organisation on heat risk management and has developed train-the-trainers programmes, communication materials and climate action plans.
Regina has an academic background in BSc 'Geography, Politics and International Relations' from Royal Holloway, University of London and MSc in 'Environmental Policy and Regulation' from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
