Edited on 06/11/2026

The second meeting of the Drama Urban Local Group (ULG) took place on 25 September 2026 at the offices of the Ladies Union of Drama, bringing together representatives of the Union and the Municipality of Drama.

The meeting focused on the activation of the Ladies Union of Drama within the UNIDAS4EU project, in line with the URBACT implementation plan, its contribution to the project’s Transferability Study and the aspects of the UNIDAS methodology that could be integrated into its work.

Representatives of the Ladies Union of Drama and the Municipality of Drama discussed the Union’s role in shaping a more coordinated and effective support system for domestic and intimate partner violence incidents in Drama.

The Union was recognised as a fundamental operational partner of the Local Group, contributing to the mapping of the local Domestic violence and Intimate Partner Violence support system, the recording of coordination gaps, the strengthening of the support case pathway and the adaptation of the UNIDAS methodology to Drama. As an active ULG member, the Union can act as a key operational stakeholder, a provider of survivor-support data, a coordinator of emergency accommodation and an advisor on case-management gaps.

Four contributions defined for the Union within UNIDAS4EU:

The discussions defined the Union’s role within the project through four contributions:

🔹 Real Case Presentation: presenting real cases, anonymised and without personal data.

🔹 Working Group Participation: taking part in the ULG working groups.

🔹 Data on Referrals and Response Times: providing data on referrals and response times.

🔹 Integration of UNIDAS Tools: integrating risk assessment tools, standardised forms and common collaboration protocols.

Next steps for the Union:

🔹 Collecting and providing Domestic Violence and Intimate Partner Violence data.

🔹 Participating in ULG workshops.

🔹 Contributing to the formulation of the local UNIDAS pathway.

🔹 Recording coordination gaps.

🔹 Exploring the possible adoption of the Women’s Counselling Centre’s methodology and protocols.

The meeting concluded that the Ladies Union of Drama, with its extensive experience in supporting survivors and managing emergency incidents, is a key factor in the successful adaptation of the UNIDAS methodology in Drama.

Its collaboration with the Municipality and institutional bodies strengthens local capacity to protect and support survivors, aiming for a seamless, continuous and human-centred system.
