From Raindrops to Ripples: Shared lessons from the Hydro-Heritage Cities journey. By Sandra Rainero

We are delighted to issue our Network’s second journal, accessible here https://urbact.eu/sites/default/files/2025-12/Hydro-Heritage%20Cities%20Journal%202.pdf and/or here in an interactive form https://sway.cloud.microsoft/v9sL1fufZGSozXFT?ref=Link

This time our water cultural heritage journey, among six European cities, traces the transition from understanding Chalandri’s (GR) Cultural H.ID.R.A.N.T. project to its first adaptations in the cities of Elche (ES), Serpa (PT), Sombor (SR), Roeselare (BE) and Rome (IT). It takes us deeper into shared learning and local activation by presenting a core transnational meeting in Serpa, the launch of testing actions and the first online webinars of our Network on 'Innovative Water Heritage Management' and 'Gender Equality'. It shows how our network is now experimenting, adapting and putting ideas into motion.

From artistic performances and citizen-led events to mapping exercises and school-based projects, this journal captures how partners are turning strategies into actions, bridging imagination and infrastructure, participation and policy. We explore how URBACT Local Groups are shaping Investment Plans, how governance is evolving and how stories, water and public space converge in surprising ways.

With photos, videos, and reflections from each city, this edition celebrates the creative heart of the network ... stay with us!
