On 12 and 13 January, the Municipality of Idanha-a-Nova welcomed the Lead Expert of the RE:START Transfer Network, an initiative under the URBACT programme whose main objective is to increase the attractiveness of medium-sized European towns and cities and reverse depopulation by creating new pathways for growth through an innovative local branding approach.

During the two-day visit, the Lead Expert explored the territory, analysed the factors influencing local development and identified opportunities to further improve the strategy.

Alongside Idanha-a-Nova, the RE Transfer Network also includes Jonadi (Italy), Loutraki (Greece), Marina Alta (Spain), Nyborg (Denmark) and Khotyn (Ukraine).
