Malta

We’re excited to share the fourth edition of our Urban Newsletter for 2025

As the designated Urban Contact Point (UCP) for the European Urban Initiative and National URBACT Point (NUP) for URBACT, both operating within the Local Government Division, we remain committed to supporting cities across the Maltese Islands and helping stakeholders engage effectively with these programmes.

In this issue, readers can explore the new EUI Peer Review Call, an open opportunity for cities to exchange knowledge, strengthen their urban strategies, and learn from one another through structured peer-to-peer engagement.

The newsletter also offers a first look at the URBACT City Festival 2026, which will take place in Nicosia, Cyprus — a vibrant gathering designed to bring together urban practitioners, policymakers, and changemakers to share experiences and celebrate forward-thinking urban solutions.

In addition, this edition features a curated list of upcoming EU events and webinars, providing valuable opportunities for professionals across Europe to connect, learn, and collaborate on shared urban challenges. Whether your focus is on green mobility, social inclusion, or digital innovation, there’s something in this issue for everyone working to build better cities.

Together, we continue to shape a future of sustainable, inclusive, and innovative urban living across Europe.

💪 Don’t miss out on the stories and opportunities that inspire change and spark collaboration.
