From 5 to 6 March 5 2026, the partner cities of the TactiCity project met in Milan for the project's kick-off meeting.
This event was particularly important because the cities of the new TactiCity network had the opportunity to meet and exchange experiences on tactical urbanism and the activation of public spaces within their own urban contexts. They were also able to closely observe the experiences of the Municipality of Milan regarding the “Open Squares” (“Piazze Aperte”) initiative and tactical urbanism interventions implemented in Beroldo Street, Spoleto/Venini Open Squares, and Dergano.
During the TactiCity kick-off meeting, the project’s partner cities also explored in depth the pathway proposed by the network for transferring Milan's good pratice, as well as the activities planned by the URBACT programme.
