The European URBACT "Comings and Goings" network, led by CIM Viseu Dão Lafões, held its 3rd Transnational Meeting on 19 and 20 October 2026 in Šibenik-Knin County, Croatia, bringing together the Lead Partner, Project Partners, the Lead Expert and members of the URBACT Local Groups (ULGs).
Partners shared the progress achieved since the previous meeting in Greece, discussed the work carried out by their Local Groups and exchanged experiences on the challenges of transferring and adapting the "Ir e Vir" Good Practice. Discussions focused on governance models, legal frameworks, funding, public procurement and stakeholder engagement.
The meeting provided an opportunity to explore the local context of Šibenik-Knin County and strengthen cooperation between partners and local stakeholders. Despite the different territorial and institutional contexts, discussions highlighted several common challenges in implementing demand-responsive transport services.
Partners also reflected on the next steps of the transfer process and the actions needed to support the Adapt Phase, reinforcing the importance of European cooperation, knowledge sharing and mutual learning in developing flexible mobility solutions for rural and low-density areas.
