Welcome to the URBACT Online Course on Digital Transition in Cities
This module aims to explore what a digital economy is, what role the city might play in growing a digital economy and how to make it happen.
This module includes a learning video supported by two city case studies and a few city use cases.
It is designed for economic development practitioners and policy makers across Europe’s cities. It will support them to better understand how to facilitate a local digital economy and to learn from experiences across other EU cities.
Upon completion of this module participants should be able to:
- Define a Digital Economy
- Understand what cities specifically might do to grow their own digital economy
- Understand the key components of a digital economy and how they might come together to create a system-approach to digital economy.
