Looking for Project Partners
  • Small and medium-sized municipalities across Europe increasingly face similar challenges: ageing populations, dispersed territories, insufficient local mobility solutions and unequal access to services, facilities and community life.

  • The Municipality of Alpiarça (Portugal) is looking for partners to build an URBACT Action Network focused on improving inclusive access to local services and participation opportunities in small and dispersed territories.

  • The network aims to explore and test practical solutions related to:
    - proximity-based mobility;
    - access to public and community services;
    - social inclusion and active participation;
    - digital tools supporting accessibility and local life;
    - integrated local governance approaches.

  • The project will combine transnational exchange with small-scale local pilot actions adapted to each municipality’s context.
    In Alpiarça, the local actions may include:
    - testing a flexible proximity transport circuit connecting peripheral areas and key local services;
    - exploring a citizen card/app to improve access to municipal services and mobility solutions.

  • We are looking for municipalities facing similar challenges related to:
    - dispersed settlements or peripheral neighbourhoods;
    - ageing populations and social isolation;
    - insufficient access to services or mobility solutions;
    - the need to strengthen territorial cohesion and inclusion.

  • Partners may already have pilot experiences underway or may still be at an early stage of developing solutions. The objective is to collectively develop, test and improve local approaches through a strong European learning network.
