Looking for Project Partners
Our community aims to transform its official web resource from a mere news source into an inclusive ecosystem where every resident, regardless of physical or cognitive abilities, has equal access to municipal services. By implementing the Ukrainian adaptation of the European accessibility standard (EN 301 549) and WCAG 2.1 guidelines, we are building a foundation for digital dignity and seamless interaction between local government and society. Crucially, we view accessibility as a fundamental prerequisite for inclusive e-participation, enabling underrepresented groups—including people with disabilities, veterans, and the elderly—to move from passive information consumers to active stakeholders. An accessible platform ensures that every citizen can exercise their democratic rights, from participating in participatory budgeting to signing e-petitions and engaging in public consultations. For potential partners, this project serves as a unique, scalable model for the rapid alignment of Ukrainian municipalities with EU standards, transforming the 'digital divide' into a 'digital bridge' for democratic recovery.
To make it short: By aligning our digital infrastructure with EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.1, we are transforming municipal services into an inclusive ecosystem that ensures digital dignity for every resident. This project serves as a scalable model for inclusive e-participation, enabling underrepresented groups to move from passive consumers to active stakeholders in the democratic recovery of our community.
