MIGRA-LINK aims to bring together rural and small/intermediate municipalities that want to improve how migrant and foreign residents access municipal services, information, participation channels and community life. In many rural territories, migration is closely linked to employment, housing, schools, health, language barriers and everyday coexistence, but local responses are often fragmented across different services and actors.

Albuñol, Spain, would contribute a rural-coastal and agricultural perspective. The municipality has a significant foreign resident population and long-standing experience supporting migrant residents. Its local pilot would test a Migrant Access and Participation Lab, connecting social services, municipal departments, schools, employers, associations and residents to reduce information barriers, improve service access and strengthen local participation.

We are looking for municipalities interested in testing practical local actions around migrant access to services, plain-language or multilingual information, participation formats, local coordination mechanisms, community coexistence and rural/agricultural integration.
