Looking for Project Partners
Svilengrad is a small town located on the external border of the European Union with Turkey and in close proximity to Greece. The town is an important transport and logistics hub through which significant international traffic passes.
The main challenge is the intensive transit traffic crossing the town, which This problem has a negative impact on resident’s health and the overall attractiveness of the town.
The objective is to improve sustainable urban mobility and reduce the environmental footprint.
Possible solutions include the development of cycling infrastructure to encourage bicycle use, enhancement of green infrastructure and the creation of additional parking spaces, with the aim of improving public spaces and overall urban quality of life.
Participation in a network of cities is expected to enable the exchange of experience and best practices, contributing to the development of more effective and applicable solution in the future.
We are looking for cities that might be interested in the topic, with special interest to cities that want to lead a consortium.
