This Network will focus on testing and implementing practical solutions for more resilient, sustainable, and water-sensitive urban development.

European cities are increasingly facing challenges such as droughts, flooding, water pollution, urban heat, and soil sealing, all intensified by climate change.

While many frameworks and strategies already exist, there is a clear need to move from planning to implementation. This project addresses that gap by enabling cities to design and test small-scale pilot actions tailored to their local contexts.

These actions may include nature-based solutions for water retention, reduction of sealed surfaces, development of Water Sensitive City Plans, digitalisation of water systems, and capacity-building initiatives.

Through transnational exchange and peer learning, cities will share experiences, adapt solutions, and strengthen their implementation capacity.
