The Pula Urban Local Group (ULG), part of the URBACT - C4TALENT project, recently held its final meeting of the year. The session focused on the spatial planning analysis of the Vallelunga area, a significant brownfield site in Pula that the city aims to reinvent into a vibrant and innovative urban space.
A highlight of the event was the exclusive presentation of the Conceptual Urban-Architectural Design for the entire Vallelunga zone, which includes plans for establishing the Pula Innovation Center. This ambitious project was developed in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb, under the expert guidance of Associate Professor Alen Žunić, PhD, a renowned architect.
The meeting gathered 25 participants representing a broad range of sectors, including academia, municipal enterprises, cultural organizations, local committees, the technology and entrepreneurial sector, civil society, the Port Authority, the environmental protection sector, and the City of Pula. This diverse group reflects the collaborative spirit needed to bring innovative projects like Vallelunga to life.
