Coming together from nine different countries, the Re-Gen partners formed a uniquely diverse team, united by a shared belief in the power of youth participation and urban regeneration. Over time, this group became much more than a project consortium: they became a community of practice, a collaborative family built across borders.
A Journey of Collaboration Across Europe
During these two years, team members co-designed strategies, tested innovative actions, and learned to understand their cities — and each other — from new perspectives. As they said their goodbyes in Albacete, many highlighted how much they had learned from one another: new methodologies, new approaches to engagement, and new ways of imagining inclusive urban futures.
For many, this final meeting was emotional. It was the last time all nine countries stood together in the same room, celebrating what they had built: trust, shared vision, and a commitment to empower young people to shape their cities.

Sharing Results and Looking Ahead
The closing days focused on wrapping up the IAP process and presenting the latest testing actions, demonstrating how youth-led ideas can meaningfully influence policy and urban transformation.
The team met with youth leaders, local stakeholders, the Mayor and Deputy Mayors of Albacete — reinforcing the core message of Re-Gen: urban regeneration becomes stronger, fairer, and more impactful when young people are at the table.
A dynamic roundtable with @love.futbol_es opened exciting pathways for future collaborations, showing how sports, community building, and urban activation can intersect to create long-lasting social impact.

Telling the Story Together
The journey concluded with a creative co-production session: a collective voice-over recording that captures the story of Re-Gen — its challenges, its achievements, and the vision that will continue to guide the network beyond the project’s official end.
Although this was their final physical meeting, the partners made each other a promise: to stay connected, to keep exchanging ideas, and to continue collaborating on urban regeneration and other socially impactful themes in the future.
The Re-Gen project may be reaching its formal conclusion, but the community it created will keep growing, innovating, and inspiring change across Europe.
