  • Bee good for food in Cesena

    Cesena is situated in Northern Italy within the Emilia-Romagna Region, some 15 km from the Adriatic coast. Its geographical position – alongside the banks of the Savio river, surrounded by hills and located on a fertile plain close to the Adriatic coast – offered Cesena a perfect natural predisposition of a “bee friendly city”. Bees are seen as fundamental to maintain biodiversity and to play a part in every aspect of the ecosystem.

  • We care for nature in Bydgoszcz!

    In Bydgoszcz one can find large lowland rivers, small watercourses, various types of forests, communities of meadows and grasslands, peat bogs, parks, squares and gardens. The 2018 Bydgoszcz City Council Resolution lifted the ban on bee breeding and now it is allowed in our city. The City of Bydgoszcz is an ally to nature preservation that strives to demonstrate the importance of pollinators and the need to protect bees. Due to the remaining common fear of bees, all-year-long educational and promotional campaigns should be an essential element of the City's activities.

The cases of Dubrovnik and Venice raised most of the challenges currently at the core of the political agendas of tourism cities at European and global level.
