  • Explaining the evident: community building needs actions, not (only) words

The successful transfer of the good practice calls for socially innovative municipalities that start with small and concrete steps like conditioning and stimulation. It is a way more complex situation to expect people being active and even proactive towards their own environment. It is always better to invite people not only to talk about their neighbourhood, but to actually DO something. We proved this for partner cities by inviting them to DO something on the main square of Gheorgheni.

  • ROME'S ULG MEETING AT TIMES OF COVID-19

If anyone had told me, just a few weeks ago, that today I would find myself writing this article confined within the four walls of my home I probably would have burst out laughing…but there is little to laugh about. We are facing one of the worst health emergencies in the last 100 years, an unprecedented situation which no one could have foreseen when welcoming the new year, but here we are. Images of scenes of despair, pain and disbelief flow in front of us and, at the same time, of great humanity and solidarity. What is emerging of all this is the ability of the human kind to respond resiliently to new shocks such as the one we are witnessing. What is certain to all of us is that nothing will ever be the same after this, nothing should ever be the same.
