  • International Vilnius Cinema Festival “Kino pavasaris”

The 25th Vilnius International Film Festival Kino Pavasaris took place online in March 19–April 2, 2020. It is one of the first virtual film festivals in the world. Originally, International Vilnius Film Festival takes place annually in spring while screening best non-commercial movies from all over the world in Lithuanian cinema theatres. In 2020 with all mass gatherings banned by the government to prevent the spread of coronavirus, after spending the entire year preparing its anniversary edition, organizers of the 25th Vilnius International Film Festival had to adapt and accomplish what seemed like an impossible task – to go fully digital.

  • The challenge is to find the golden path between everything

As we tend to know language is one of the most important parts of any culture. It is the way by which people communicate with one another, build relationships and create a sense of community. As languages began to develop, different cultural communities put together collective understandings through sounds. Today, we’ve moved more than 10k steps (/daily as recommended) forward and situate on a much more complicated period, as there are many more languages than at first. What we see as the possibilities for integration and adaption in the city of Tallinn aka the struggle is real.

  • Cities, energy and children: the future of our planet!

Urb-En Pact (urban energy pact) is an URBACT network that gathers 8 european cities with the same objective : becoming a net-zero energy territory by 2050. The method used to do so is simple : increasing the production of “green” and local energy while decreasing our energy consumption. Easier said than done but the common determination of all the partners and our skateholders is a key factor of success.

Cities are in the driving seat to tackle the climate change. It is about the future of our planet and of all those who will inhabit it.
