Peer learning on investment plans
During the first day, participants worked in pairs to review and refine their cities’ investment plans. Each partner presented the strategy developed for implementing the transferred practice in their city and received targeted, constructive feedback from peers. e-Trikala presented the progress achieved with the Energy Service Office (Energy KEP), established through the Energy4ALL initiative, as well as the planning to institutionalize the service as a permanent structure within the Municipality of Trikala. The Office aims to support residents facing energy poverty by providing guidance, information and access to available support schemes. The session was followed by a workshop exploring funding opportunities and financial instruments that could support the implementation of the partners’ investment plans. Participants discussed how cities can effectively mobilize different funding sources to ensure the sustainability and scalability of their initiatives.
Storytelling for investment and impact
The second day focused on the role of storytelling in communicating investment plans. Through an interactive workshop, participants explored how to present their strategies in a compelling and clear way, depending on the target audience — from investors and funding bodies to political decision-makers.
During the session, the URBACT Secretariat also announced the preparation of a practical guide on storytelling for investment planning, which is expected to be published in April.
Strengthening local capacity towards a sustainable energy transition
The meeting marked an important milestone for the ITN partners as they move towards the finalization of their investment plans. For e-Trikala, the exchange provided valuable insights for further developing its strategy and strengthening local capacity to implement sustainable solutions that address both the energy transition and social cohesion at the city level.
