The Candelaria Technology Centre (CTcan) hosted on Thursday, October 21st, the second meeting of the Extended Local Working Group of Candelaria of the European project "Find your greatness".
The Mayoress, Mari Brito, welcomed and thanked the attendees for their involvement in the project, which has allowed progress to be made in identifying and promoting the greatness of the municipality in a participatory manner. Thus, the meeting focused mainly on identifying aspects of Candelaria to be highlighted and communicated to the public.
Mari Brito stressed that the main greatness of any place is always the people, and as an example was the presence of Juan Jesús Aguiar, para-athlete and world paratriathlon champion who explained his life and sporting experience, the lessons learned, his role as a disseminator of the values of the town to which he belongs, his plans for the future, the importance of Candelaria from his point of view. A motivational and inspirational talk to open the working day consisted of various presentations and dynamics in which the greatness of Candelaria from the different perspectives of the participating people and entities and the values that Candelaria, as a city that responds to the archetype of caregiver, should highlight in its communication strategy, ending in the definition of communication actions necessary to make them known.
The local group convened by the Mayoress will meet again before the end of the year to continue working on the project's Integrated Action Plan. In addition, in February next year, a meeting will be held in Candelaria with the other member cities of the project, Alba Iulia in Romania, Voru in Estonia, Wroclaw in Poland, Peruggia in Italy, Limerick in Ireland, Bragança in Portugal, and Budafok in Hungary.
