A New Holiday Home: The ÜnnepElő Community Space
Opened on 2 December, the ÜnnepElő – community space became the heart of the season. Set up in an empty shop unit at the local shopping centre, it offered a welcoming hub where locals could slow down, meet neighbours, and take part in many creative activities. The space hosted workshops, creative sessions and conversations throughout the festive period.
A Community That Came Alive
Across these weeks, Gazdagrét, Újbuda experienced:
- new collaborations with schools, libraries, local businesses, and artists
- high community engagement across age groups
- a powerful sense of belonging
the creation of a physical space supporting connections
The Gazdagréti Ünnepelő Testing Action proved that when neighbours are invited to co‑create their neighborhood’s holiday spirit, the results are warm, memorable, and deeply meaningful.
