URBACT Local Groups are key in the construction of partner cities’ Educational Innovation Networks (EIN). They represent the different stakeholders that will take part in the future Educational Innovation Networks and they are contributing to lay its foundations.
What do the ULG members think about the EIN and its future? Todays it's Aleksandra's Sołtysiak-Łuczak turn to tell us about it.
- What's your name and what do you do?
My name is Aleksandra Sołtysiak-Łuczak. I work in a company specialized in organising camps and summer holidays for children. I’m also Chairwomen of the Council of Jeżyce in Poznan. Additionally I’m member of Parents’ Council in one of the local schools in Jeżyce.
- What is your role within the network?
I hold the office of leader, but I don’t feel too well with it. I prefer to make decisions collectively, as a whole team.
- What do you think the network can contribute in your city?
The biggest change is cooperation between schools. Not long ago all schools were competing with each other, but due to net it is changing. Network encouragers schools to work together and at the same time shows how cooperation can be profitable.
- What would you like the EIN to be in 3 years?
Pandemic cut us down. The priority for schools right now is to secure safety of pupils and I have to admit that we are also thinking about it. Ideally would be if Pandemic had ended. Then net could return to actions which were undertaking before COVID. I’m speaking mainly about cooperation between schools. Besides that I consider gentrification in schools as a big problem and I think that the Educational Innovation Network (EIN) should focus on actions against it.
