Unidas4EU in Cork: Urbact University 2026

Edited on 25/09/2026

From 25 to 27 August, the UNIDAS4EU team was in Cork, Ireland, for URBACT University 2026, bringing together partners from URBACT Transfer Networks across Europe.

The event brought together the UNIDAS4EU partners — Comunidade Intermunicipal do Tâmega e Sousa, Bétera, Meylan, Vicenza, the 12th District of Budapest and Drama — for three days of learning, exchange and collaboration.

At the heart of the discussions was one key question: how can we keep partners connected and engaged throughout the project? In Cork, the sessions explored different ways of understanding stakeholders, identifying their motivations and barriers to participation, and creating opportunities for meaningful and active engagement.

For UNIDAS4EU, this work is particularly relevant as the project focuses on transferring and adapting the UNIDAS good practice — the Intermunicipal Victim Support Network of Douro, Tâmega and Sousa — to different European contexts.

Transfering a good practice involves more than sharing tools and methodologies. It requires adapting approaches to different contexts, strengthening cooperation between partners, and supporting the exchange of knowledge and experience.

The work in Cork strengthened cooperation between partners and provided new approaches to support the ongoing implementation of UNIDAS4EU.
