The visit formed part of the ongoing transnational exchange process through which partner cities explore and adapt Lublin’s good practice in creating youth-friendly spaces and strengthening youth participation. During the two-day programme, participants met with local stakeholders, visited initiatives dedicated to young people, and discussed the next stages of network activities.
Particular attention was given to Alba Iulia’s preparations for the Romanian Youth Capital 2026 programme and to local plans for developing spaces that support young people's skills development, social inclusion, and civic engagement. The meetings provided an opportunity to examine local challenges and opportunities while identifying ways to further strengthen youth policies and infrastructure.
The visit also contributed to deeper cooperation among network partners, fostering mutual learning and the exchange of experiences on creating more inclusive and accessible environments for young people.
YOUth SPACE LINK is an URBACT Transfer Network led by Lublin, focused on transferring and adapting successful approaches to youth participation and youth-friendly spaces across European cities. The network is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the URBACT programme.
