The URBACT Secretariat consulted closely with the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Cypriot Ministry of the Interior, and the City of Nicosia, before making this decision. While we are disappointed to have to postpone this event, we believe that addressing the concerns of participants and considering flight cancellations is the most appropriate course of action at this time of uncertainty.
The URBACT Secretariat would like to warmly thank the City of Nicosia, the co-organiser of this event, for their active involvement in the preparations of the URBACT City Festival over the last twelve months.
The URBACT City Festival is a celebration of cooperation and unity amongst European cities. We remain committed to showcasing the 273 urban solutions of the cities involved in the 30 Action Planning Networks and bringing more cities together.
A new date and location for the URBACT City Festival will be announced in the coming weeks.
