    What’s on in BN2 Five guide – a summer of activity, collaboration & Mediterranean weather

    It has been a busy summer in Brighton’s BN2 Five. ULG members holding a wide range of activities, ranging from pottery classes at the Bristol Estate Artist Studios to Street Cricket at Crew Club, making for a packed summer schedule. These activities met the needs of new born children to those in their 100s. One resident in BN2 Five celebrated her 105th birthday!

  • Community between panels

     

    Although the first prefabricated buildings were built in Western Europe after the Second World War, they are undoubtedly the synonyms of the post-soviet countries like Hungary. Negative connotations towards prefabricated housing estates neglects the diversity of these areas and their diverse development processes in past years. Undoubtedly, their judgement has been changing, and it is perhaps time to revalorise these areas. We made a very first attempt in the Come in! Transfer Network to do that by organising a pilot community festival in Őrmező.

  • Mind the gap between top-down and bottom-up approaches while transferring the good practice

    The ‘Come in! – Talking Houses / Shared Stories’ URBACT Transfer Network is centred on the good practice entitled Weekend of Open Houses. It is an easily adaptable community festival in Budapest called locally Budapest100 celebrating the city’s built heritage and common values. Let's see that this knowledge has been put to good use in Őrmező.
