In the upcomming months, The Otto von Guericke University, together with cultural centres and the Spanish Department facilitates three interesting events for internationals living in Magdeburg. Cinespañol
3th May 2019, 8pm | Moritzhof, Magdeburg, GermanyFor the eighth time, the Spanish Department cooperates with the Moritzhof Cultural Center and presents: "Cinespañol ".
Cinespañol represents a broad film spectrum to offer the viewer authentic and entertaining views from Latin America and Spain and to convey their language. Click here for the entire evening programme and film resumes. This edition of the Spanish language film festival brings young films from Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Spain, Uruguay, Paraguay and Cuba to Germany, of course, in the original Spanish version with subtitles. A special highlight is the opening event: the opening of the film festival on 3th of May begins however musically, with a concert: Alejandro L. Pellegrin & Bertram Quosdorf "Bossa & More".

Europe-Week: Mini-Language Courses
10th May 2019, 3pm | in:takt, Breiter Weg, Magdeburg, GermanyThe International Office of the Otto von Guericke University is organizing mini-language courses in the context of the Europe-Week on Friday, the 10th of May at 03:00 pm. During this event, international students will give a short introduction to their language and teach visitors the basic things, like how to greet and how to introduce themselves. Additionally, international snacks will be served and afterwards, there will be an international game night.
The event will take place in the in:takt, which was a former shop on the Breiter Weg (city centre in Magdeburg) and is now a place for cultural events, meetings and hanging around. It’s self-organized by students of the University and it offers many opportunities for all kind of groups.

Fiesta de Verano
13th June 2019 | Cultural Centre 'Feuerwache', Magdeburg, GermanySpanish teachers and students from the Otto von Guericke University organize the 18th summer party for all Spanish students, teachers and Spanish lovers. You can expect student vocals, dance performances, a Spain-quiz with great prizes, homemade tapas and flamenco guitar art! Also Latin American sounds, Caribbean dances, Sangria, South American wines and Spanish delicacies will be present! As a beautiful tradition, this fiesta is prepared by students and teachers themselves. In this way, we have always been able to create a colourful and entertaining festival at small admission prices. ¡Nos vemos en la fiesta!
