Bragança. Az újrakezdés szabadsága

A „Find Your Greatness” (Fedezd fel a nagyszerűséged) program a romániai Alba Iulia, a program vezető városa által meghatározott kihívások megoldását segíti. A projektben hét másik város is részt vesz: Bragança (Portugália), Voru (Észtország), Wroclaw (Lengyelország), Candelária (Kanári-szigetek), Perugia (Olaszország), Limerick (Írország) és Budafok (Magyarország). A cél a városok területi marketingstratégiájának javítása az európai városok együttműködése által, az egyes városokban rejlő lehetőségek figyelembevételével, továbbá tervben van Európa első, az intelligens városok márkastratégiáját fejlesztő program létrehozása is. A kis léptékű akció tervezése az Urbact bragançai helyi csoportjának ülésein zajlott különböző intézmények és szakterületek képviselőinek bevonásával, így a projektben részt vett többek között a bragançai önkormányzat, a Polytechnic Institute of Bragança felsőoktatási intézmény, a Brigantia Ecopark tudományos és technológiai központ, a More - Collaborative Laboratory, az Associação de Municípios da Terra Fria do Nordeste Transmontano és a helyi vállalkozók.

Getting to know each other: our City Visits

Between August and September, The Lead Partner's Team had the chance to visit the BioCanteens #2 Partners in their cities: Evora (PT), Wroclaw (PO), Gavà (ES), and Liège (BE). City Visits allowed us to get a bite of the reality of the territory, the political implication, the production and consumption patterns, and the functioning of the school procurement system. Most importantly, it gave us the chance to establish a relationship to perpetuate our fruitful collaboration for the next months.

Fundão je už dlho zdrojom dobrého jedla a vína. Toto mesto v strednom Portugalsku, ktoré čelí znižujúcej sa populácii, vytvorilo v roku 2012 Klub výrobcov zameraný na export, ktorý získava ceny od Abú Zabí až po Makao. Mesto sa však pripojilo k URBACT sieti AGRI-URBAN s cieľom hľadať miestne udržateľné riešenia. Výrobcovia a spotrebitelia pomohli vytvoriť plán podávania lokálnych biopotravín vo verejných jedálňach, ktorý podporuje ekonomiku mesta a zdravú reputáciu.
