  • Group of Urban Echo at Cork

From neighbourhood presence to meaningful participation: Ghent shares its approach at URBACT Univeristy

As Lead Partner of the URBACT Transfer Network URBAN ECHO, the City of Ghent joined the URBACT University 2026 in Cork, bringing together city practitioners and local stakeholders from across Europe to learn, exchange and explore new ways of working on integrated and participatory urban
    policies.
For Ghent, the University was not only an opportunity to learn from other European cities. It was also a chance to share the city’s own experience of
building meaningful connections with residents and embedding participation in its day-to-day urban practice.
