Redefining Urban Security for Inclusive Cities

Urban security encompasses the comprehensive safety and well-being of individuals within urban environments, acknowledging the intricate interplay between tangible threats and the perception of security. The goal of the project is to overcome the securitarian approach, which focuses primarily on law enforcement and punitive measures, fostering instead the underlying causes of insecurity. While crime must be prosecuted, a more comprehensive strategy is needed to foster a sense of safety and well-being.

Winter is for Action: The Fourth Quarterly Report of S.M.ALL

As the year drew to a close, the S.M.ALL network didn’t slow down. Instead, it shifted gears from planning to action. The fourth quarterly report captures a crucial phase where Integrated Action Plans (IAPs) started shaping real, on-the-ground changes across partner cities. With a strong focus on pilot projects, citizen engagement, and risk management, this quarter laid the foundation for a transformative 2025.
